Dear Parents/Carers,
Just to confirm some decisions we have made regarding upcoming events in school.
- The upcoming trips for Year 6 to Harry Potter World on 25th March and Year 3 to Mountfitchett Castle on 27th March have been cancelled. Year 3 and 6 parents have been informed and will be refunded.
- The Parental Consultation Meetings on 23rd March have been postponed to next term.
- We have cancelled the RSA Conference to discuss the new Sex Education Curriculum which we were due to host on Friday.
- We have cancelled the Year 6 Saturday Study Club for the next 2 Saturdays. Again Year 6 parents have been informed.
- We have postponed the Joseph’s Day celebrations on Thursday including the Mass at 11:15am, the sponsored event with the visiting athlete and our activity afternoon. Hopefully we can move everything to the Feast of Joseph the Worker in the summer term.
- At this moment we are still going ahead with the Year 3 and 4 Bikeability cycle training next week, if school remains open.
- The Dance Club run by Dance Stables has been suspended from this week.
- All other after school clubs and activities will be suspended from next week, however the After School Club itself and Breakfast Club will still run if school remains open
- We will not be running the spring term book fair which was due to start on Thursday.
Just to emphasise that school remains open at this time until we are advised to close or we do not have enough staff to stay open. Can I also ask that if your child is off school for any reason then you need to inform the school. Also if we phone you because your child is unwell, they need to be collected as soon as possible. Please refer to the letter sent home yesterday (Monday 16th March) for more information and details regarding the effects of the Coronavirus on daily school life.I will continue to keep everyone updated at this uncertain time.
Yours sincerely,
J Alexander (Head teacher)
