Governors

The Role of Governors

The Governors are like a Board of Directors and make decisions about how the school is run. The governing body has set up committees to help them in their work. These are Children & Learning and Finance & Resources. Each governor is a member of one or more committees and each committee meets two or three weeks before a full governing body meeting which are held each term.

The governors have legal duties, powers and responsibilities. They can only act together, they cannot act individually. Copies of their agenda and the minutes are held in school and can be inspected at any time while the school is open.
