St Joseph’s is a uniform school and every child is expected to dress in the correct uniform. We believe uniforms provide a sense of belonging and sense of pride for our students, is helpful in fostering a good learning environment and promotes the ethos of our school.
At the moment we are wearing our winter uniform which looks like this:
Girls: Winter
Girls: Summer
Girls: P.E.
|
Boys: Winter
Boys: Summer
Boys: P.E.
|
We aim to keep costs of uniform to a minimum:
The school jumper/cardigan (£14), school ties (£4), School Polo T-Shirt (£8) and book bags (£7) can be purchased from the school at anytime. Parents should not have to think about the cost of a school uniform when choosing to apply for our school and there are different ways we can support you.
To help support our families we also regularly hold nearly new/ used uniform sales throughout the school year. These are advertised through ParentMail or the school newsletter. Please ensure that any uniform you donate to the school is in good condition to help support others.
Children will need to have a swimming costume for children in Year 5 and Year 6.
There is a St Joseph’s school coat which can be bought in school if needed.
As a school, it is our policy to review our school uniform policy every 5 years. Due to the impact of Covid and families facing financial difficulty, we have relaxed our uniform code for the last 2 years. The next uniform review will take place in the 2023- 2024 academic year where we will consult with pupils, parents, governors and staff.
Please kindly ensure all items of clothing are clearly marked with your child’s name to enable us to return any items to you if they go missing.
